plumbing takeoff software

Count the fixtures. RFQ the plumber if you buy the trade.

This page is for plumbers and GCs who count fixtures and approximate pipe, then either hang the trade or send a guest RFQ. Fixture count from the schedule, pipe LF as an approximation, specified make/model when the cut sheet is on the set. This is also the trade on the public sample: Coastal Plumbing’s quote is applied in replace mode so covered materials do not sit in the self-performed column twice.

Chip Plumbing on upload. The RFQ and double-counting workflow pages cover send and apply; this page is the Plumbing scope and the fixture list.

Solo at $200 is five successful takeoffs and already includes RFQs. Crew at $399 is fifteen and is featured (Most Popular: Full Bid Loop). Shop at $699 is forty. RFQs are on every plan. Failed runs do not count.

The problem

Plumbing bids fail when fixtures are missed, when pipe is a round number with no page, and when the returned quote stacks on the same water closets you already extended in materials. Measuring tools count symbols and still leave you to email a priced spreadsheet.

A guest who will not create a software login will not return a number. Prices on that link would leak your bid.

What you get

Upload the PDF. Chip Plumbing or leave all fourteen. ZIP. Run takeoff. Processing time varies with plan size and complexity. We email you.

Review fixtures and pipe. Open citations. Edit a spec when the schedule names American Standard and the row does not. Mark SELF if you install, SUB if you buy. Send a guest RFQ: quantities and units only, token page, no login, due date required. Apply replace-covered-items or labor-only with both totals on screen. Coverage exceptions stay in materials.

See how it works. Then run your first bid. First-takeoff via feedback@takeoffspeed.io. Sunday-Off after 30 days. Cancel anytime. Failed runs do not count. We do not run your company. We help you get the bid out.

What this supports

Plumbing is a scope chip. Prompt: fixture count, pipe LF approximate, specified fixtures from cut sheets with make/model when present. Citations, confidence, Needs your eyes.

Guest RFQs on every plan: quantities and units only, never prices or other bidders’ names, letterhead, TakeoffSpeed footer, fifteen recipients, trade sheets plus cover and site plan — or the full set when sheets cannot be sorted. Apply replace-covered-items versus labor-only. Additional contingency applies to self-performed material costs only.

Browser-based. Solo $200 / 5, Crew $399 / 15 (featured), Shop $699 / 40. Failed runs do not count. CSV and Word.

Sample output

/sample-bid is the plumbing example the tests pin. ZIP 34420. Estimated total $196,682.14 from computeBidTotals. Additional contingency 10%. Markup 15%. Fixture rows include water closets, lavatories, sink, water cooler, cleanouts, circulator, condensate pump, arresters, gas pipe. Coastal Plumbing is applied in replace mode. Coverage exception t4-8 stays in materials because that line is not in the quote.

We do not invent a second plumbing job. Plan-page source is empty on the fixture’s takeoff lines; live takeoffs include available page references for review. CSV and Word stay disabled until you sign in.

What this does not do

No scheduling, no payroll, no change-order log. We do not run your company. We help you get the bid out.

A human reviews every line. Pipe is approximate unless the drawing supports better. We do not claim complete fixture coverage. FOUND is not your supply house. Replace mode does not delete lines the quote excluded — exceptions stay yours.
