Flooring by area and type from the finish schedule.

This page is for flooring contractors and GCs who bid from the finish schedule: area and type, not a single “flooring SF.” LVT, tile, sealed concrete, and rubber base are different rows when the schedule says so. Chip Flooring — or Finishes if that is how the set is organized — and still review.

The trade-contractors page is the generic slice. This page is the Flooring scope: area × type from the finish schedule, then SELF if you install or a guest RFQ if you buy the hang.

Solo at $200 is five successful takeoffs. Crew at $399 is fifteen and is featured (Most Popular: Full Bid Loop). Shop at $699 is forty. RFQs are on every plan. Failed runs do not count.

The problem

Flooring takeoffs fail when restroom tile, sales LVT, and sealed concrete get merged, when base is forgotten, and when waste is a silent pad. A remodel that says “save existing vinyl for patching” is not a full replacement SF.

Measuring tools get the room polygon and still leave you to match Mannington versus Daltile in a second sheet.

Sunday-Off: still doing manual takeoffs on Sunday night after 30 days? Full refund.

What you get

Upload the PDF. Chip Flooring. ZIP. Run takeoff. Processing time varies with plan size and complexity. We email you.

Review flooring by area and type from the finish schedule. Open citations. Edit when CTFL-2 is not LVT-1. Then source, SELF or SUB, RFQ if you buy the install, export. Unpriced SF prints an em dash, never $0.00.

See how it works. Then run your first bid. First-takeoff via feedback@takeoffspeed.io. Sunday-Off after 30 days. Cancel anytime. Failed runs do not count. We do not run your company. We help you get the bid out.

What this supports

Flooring is a scope chip. Prompt: flooring by area and type from the finish schedule. Related finish items (base, tile, sealer) may land nearby; you still split them in review.

Citations, confidence, Needs your eyes. Line edits. Source FOUND versus BUDGETARY. Guest RFQs on every plan. Apply without double-counting if a floor sub returns a number that includes material.

Browser-based. Solo $200 / 5, Crew $399 / 15 (featured), Shop $699 / 40. Failed runs do not count. CSV and Word.

Sample output

/sample-bid is the golden tenant fit-out — ZIP 34420, $196,682.14 from computeBidTotals, additional contingency 10%, markup 15%. Flooring on that fixture sits in Finishes: 330 SF LVT-1 Mannington Commercial Poured, 130 SF restroom floor tile, ceramic base, rubber base, concrete sealer. There is not a separate Flooring trade header on the fixture list.

We do not invent a second floor package. Plan-page source is empty on the fixture; live takeoffs include available page references for review. CSV and Word stay disabled until you sign in.

What this does not do

No scheduling, no payroll, no change-order log. We do not run your company. We help you get the bid out.

A human reviews every line. We do not claim complete SF. We do not claim every city has a matched LVT SKU. The golden sample’s flooring lives under Finishes (LVT, tile, sealer, base) — we name that honestly instead of pretending a dedicated Flooring trade header exists on that fixture.

Questions

Should LVT and restroom tile share one square-footage line?
No. Flooring is by area and type from the finish schedule. LVT-1 and CTFL-2 are different products. Merge them only after you have checked the drawing.
Does the golden sample have a Flooring trade header?
No. On /sample-bid those rows live under Finishes. The page still shows LVT, tile, base, and sealer. We will not relabel the fixture to make this URL prettier.
Can I count Flooring without running Finishes paint?
Chip Flooring on upload. Related finish items may still appear; you review. Fourteen scopes exist so a floor-only invitation does not have to count Sitework.
What if existing vinyl is to be patched, not replaced?
That note belongs on the line and in your edit. A first pass that counts full replacement SF against a “save existing vinyl” note is a review item, not a bid you send.
